Child Care starts on Tuesday, September 4, 2012

Child Care Hours:

Morning
Monday through Friday
8:15 am- 12:00 pm

The cost of our childcare is $1.50 per hour per child with a two hour maximum. Children brought to the childcare must be your own children. For insurance purposes, we can not take care of children that you may be watching for other people. Please see our Childcare Brochure for more information.

Snacks:

  • Please do not bring snacks that could be a choking hazard (i.e. grapes).

  • Sippy cups or spill-proof water bottles are permitted. Water is preferred but juice is okay as long as it is in a spill-proof bottle or cup. Please do not bring juice boxes or pouches because they spill easily.

  • It would be helpful to the staff on duty if bottles and cups were labeled with your child’s name, although this is not required.

* Snacks are allowed in the child center. It is recommended that you bring a snack that your child can eat easily without help and is not messy. Some suggestions are:

  1. Goldfish

  2. Cookies

  3. Dry cereal

  4. Crackers

  5. Fruit snacks

  6. Pretzels

Infants and Toddlers:

* Parents are responsible for changing diapers. We will come get you if your child needs to be changed.

* Parents will be notified if their child has been crying for more than 15 minutes and cannot be comforted.

* Pacifiers and comfort items such as blankets are permitted in the Child Center.

* Pre-mixed bottles are preferred but we will mix bottles.

* We do not potty train but will do our best to get your toddler to the bathroom when they need to go. Please bring extra clothes because accidents do happen.

If a child is seen as a danger to themselves or other children, Princeton Health and Fitness has the right to remove that child from the center.

Behavior:

* Biting– If your child bites another child or the staff, we will come get you and ask that your child be removed from the Child Center for the day.

* Bad Behavior- Redirection will be used for children younger than 3 years of age. Children 3 years of age and older will first be given a warning then a time-out. If the behavior continues after 3 time-outs, the parent will be notified and will need to come get their child.

* You may leave your punch card and unlimited card in the child center. We will notify you when you will need a new card.

Our Child Center is a fun place for you to bring your children while you work out at Princeton Health and Fitness. It is available to all Princeton Health & Fitness members and guests. There is a 2 hour limit per visit. All children through 12 years of age are allowed in the center. To keep the Child Center running efficiently, we ask that you observe the following policies:

* *Minnesota State Law requires that you remain in the building while your child is in our care.

  • Please take your child to the restroom before checking into the Child Center.

  • Please sign your child in and write down where you will be in the fitness center.

  • We cannot provide care for children that you may be taking care of other than your own.

  • Socks or shoes should be worn in the child center room. Bare feet is discouraged.

  • Shoes must be worn in the gymnasium. If a child has no shoes with them they may have to sit out of gym activities or will need to remain in the Child Center with another staff member.

  • The staff on duty in the Child Center has the right to limit the usage of designated play spaces. For example, they may decide not to bring the children into the gymnasium if there are too many young children or if the space is being occupied by other members.

  • Toys from home should stay at home.

  • We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

SICK CHILD POLICY EXCLUSION

* If your child displays any of these symptoms please keep them at home. We at the Princeton Health and Fitness Child Center do our job cleaning the toys on a regular basis, but we also need to have the cooperation from you, the parent or guardian, to keep our center as germ free as we possibly can.

¨ If a child becomes sick while at the center, the child will be kept apart from the other children and the parent will be notified to bring him or her home.

A child with any of the conditions or behaviors listed below is a sick child and should not be brought into the Child Center:
